smitten

The last month has been a whirlwind, a hot brilliant swath of fun. I'm having trouble trying to encompass it all, but suffice it to say, this may turn into the best summer in years. I've spent days at concerts (Neko Case, Black Eyed Peas, Apostle of Hustle, Jason Collett, Stars (twice), Metric, Broken Social Scene, Go! Team, Cuff the Duke, Arcade Fire, plus unexpected performances from K-OS and Nelly Furtado). Went to Ottawa and Guelph. Saw people I haven't seen in far too long. And met some great new ones. Even academically, I got a paper published, submitted another one, and found a thesis topic and dataset so that I might one day graduate.

I feel like I'm in a moment that I'm already nostalgic for. Where everyday begins with that haze of good memories as soon as I open my eyes in the morning.
